Ministries are born from powerful testimonies and are designed to empower individuals through personalized programs and services. These ministries inspire hope, foster resilience, and create a sense of purpose and belonging.

Mercy’s Ministry: Supporting the Special Needs Community

Mercy’s Ministry was founded in honor of Mercy, a remarkable girl born with a motor disability that affects her ability to move, sit, walk, speak, or eat without assistance. After being abandoned by her mother, Mercy was discovered by a compassionate neighbor who ensured her survival.

Our journey with Mercy began in 2019 when the Christ Church missions team first visited Bidi Bidi Refugee Settlement. Her captivating spirit and unwavering resilience deeply moved everyone, inspiring us to establish Mercy’s Ministry, a program dedicated to empowering and supporting the special needs community.

Many individuals within this community aspire to learn skills that allow them to contribute productively to society. One inspiring example is James, who repurposes food distribution bags into sturdy ropes and sells them to livestock owners, demonstrating that self-sufficiency and meaningful engagement are possible with the right support.

Through Mercy’s Ministry, we strive to uplift, equip, and create opportunities for people with disabilities, ensuring they are valued members of their communities. We have a goat farm to help sustain the Mercy’s Ministry.

GIA Ministry: God In Art

GIA (God In Art) Ministry was founded at Ebenezer Global in 2023 when an artist visited Bidi Bidi and created art alongside the soccer girls. The ministry is rooted in the belief that because we are made in the image of our Creator, we are also designed to create and reflect His beauty through artistic expression.

Our GIA Art Program provides a space for creativity, expression, and community development. Through art, participants not only hone their skills and find joy but also deepen their love and understanding of God. By embracing their creative gifts, they engage in a meaningful form of worship and reflection, acknowledging that all beauty and creativity originate from Him.

"For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things! To Him be the glory forever!" Romans 11:36

Dina’s Ministry: Caring for the Elderly

Dina’s Ministry was founded in 2023, inspired by the journey of a South Sudanese woman who lost her mother in 1997 due to the lack of proper medical care in Dadaab Refugee Camp, Kenya. In 2001, she was resettled in Memphis, TN, where she spent years working with the elderly community.

In 2023, she had the opportunity to serve as a missionary in Bidi Bidi Refugee Camp, where she encountered elderly individuals living in isolation, struggling without medical care or basic necessities. Deeply moved by their hardships, she founded Dina’s Ministry in honor of her mother, with the mission to provide food, essential medical care, and support to the elderly population in Bidi Bidi.

Through compassion and service, Dina’s Ministry brings hope, dignity, and relief to those who are often forgotten, ensuring that the elderly in Bidi Bidi are cared for and valued.
