Ministries are born from powerful testimonies and are designed to empower individuals through personalized programs and services. These ministries inspire hope, foster resilience, and create a sense of purpose and belonging.
Mercy is a remarkable girl who was born with a motor disability, affecting both her gross and fine motor skills. As a result, she is unable to move independently, sit up, walk, speak, or eat unassisted. Tragically, her mother abandoned her, leaving her to be found by a caring neighbor.
Our encounter with Mercy took place in 2019 when the Christ Church missions team first visited Bidi Bidi. Her captivating spirit and unwavering resilience touched everyone's hearts, leading us to name the special needs ministry in her honor.
During a mission trip, we organized a heartwarming dinner for individuals with special needs and their caretakers, which led to the establishment of Mercy's Ministry. Our primary goal is to empower and support the special needs community through tailored programs and services.
Through comprehensive needs assessments within the camp, we have registered around 100 members of the special needs community.
A prevalent desire among this community is to acquire skills that enable them to contribute productively to society. A prime example is a man called James, who creatively repurposes food distribution bags into sturdy ropes and sells them to livestock owners, demonstrating the potential for meaningful engagement and self-sufficiency.

GIA started at Ebenezer Global in 2023 when an artist visited Bidi Bidi and made art with the soccer girls. GIA stands for "God In Art." Since the Creator made us in His likeness, we enjoy creating beautiful things. Our creations reflect His creation. Our prayer is that the GIA art program provides a space for creativity, expression, and community development. Our goal is for participants to find joy and solace in honing their art skills, and most importantly, to deepen their love and understanding of their Creator through art. "For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things! To Him be the glory forever!" Romans 11:36
GIA Ministry
Dina's ministry was started in 2023 as a result of a South Sudanese woman who lost her mom in 1997 due to the lack of proper medical care in Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya. In 2001, the daughter got resettled in Memphis, TN and has worked with the elderly for many years.
In 2023, she got an opportunity to serve as a missionary in Bidi Bidi refugee camp where she met lonely elderly people who also lack medical care and basic needs. She was moved and inspired to start Dina's ministry in honor of her mother. Dina's ministry provides food and basic medical care to the elderly population within Bidi Bidi refugee camp.
