“Samuel then took a large stone and placed it between the towns of Mizpah and shen. He named it Ebenezer (which means “the stone of help”), for he said, “Up to this point the LORD has helped us!” ~1 Samuel 7:12
This verse inspires our ministry name, Ebenezer (Global Hub), as a testimony to the Lord’s faithful help and guidance through every battle.
Our Mission: Ebenezer Global Hub exists to provide holistic care to refugees and the host community through leadership and skills training so they can excel and become change-agents in their communities.
Our Story: A Journey of Hope and Resilience
In 2016, conflict in South Sudan forced over 2 million refugees—mostly women and children—to flee their homes in search of safety. Many found refuge in Northern Uganda, where the Bidi Bidi Refugee Settlement became a beacon of hope amidst adversity. Today, Bidi Bidi is home to more than 200,000 refugees working to rebuild their lives.
Amidst these challenges, Ebenezer Global Hub is committed to empowering communities, restoring dignity, and building lasting solutions. Through vocational and skills training, education, spiritual development, and self-sufficiency initiatives, our mission is to deliver hope where it is needed most.
Empowering Lives Through Vocational Training
In Bidi Bidi Refugee Settlement, resilience meets opportunity. Through our vocational skills training programs, we equip refugees with practical skills in construction, tailoring and fashion design, cosmetology, culinary arts and bakery, motorcycle repair, computer literacy, biblical training, and more-empowering them to rebuild their lives. These initiatives provide sustainable livelihoods while nurturing hope, confidence, and self-sufficiency in communities working toward a better future.
